Thanksgiving Nov. 28, 2013 2nd night Chanukah Cheshvan 27 5774
·
I feel blessed and grateful
to the Creative Force that gives life, inspires connection, and constantly
replenishes us with the capacity to love and to wonder. (adapted from Rabbi
Joshua Stanton)
Help me:
- · To remember how I want to walk through this life: To find courage and strength to use my/our hands and our heads and our hearts to work, together with the Creator of all life (whatever we call her/it) to bring hope and joy, holiness and love into our very broken world.
- · To be aware and remember not only to feel but also to articulate our gratitude for all that we have: for our health, for our potential, for our individual and collective gifts of the past and the present; and for our hope and our ability to hold dreams for the future.
- · To assure that each of us will be able to shine our own unique light into world and into the lives of those we love.
- · To have the desire and the strength to continuously re-dedicate ourselves to contributing to the creation of a world in which nobody is hungry and everybody has shelter and feels safe; a world full of compassion and respect and peace.
